Frequently asked questions
Does it work without internet?
Yes. Billing, products, customers and Udhaar payments all work offline. Bills are saved on the phone and sync automatically when the internet comes back. Only reports, the online product catalogue and first sign-in need internet.
How do I set my product prices?
Pick a product from the KiranaX catalogue and type your own selling price, or add your own product with its price. You can change a price any time, and old bills keep the price they were sold at. Prices for loose goods are per kg or litre, and smaller amounts are worked out automatically.
Which printers are supported?
Most 58 mm and 80 mm Bluetooth thermal receipt printers. Pair the printer in your phone's Bluetooth settings, then select it in KiranaX. Billing also works perfectly without a printer.
Can I keep Udhaar (credit) accounts?
Yes. Add a customer while billing, choose Udhaar, and KiranaX keeps a running ledger. Record part payments by cash or UPI and send reminders on WhatsApp.
Is my shop's data safe and private?
Each shop's bills, customers and prices are visible only to that shop. Financial records are never deleted: a cancelled bill stays in history with the reason, and money and stock are reversed correctly.
What do I need to start?
An Android phone (Android 7 or newer) and your shop login. A Bluetooth printer and barcode scanning with the phone camera are optional.
